Reference in the formation of competing athletes, the black belt Edenilson Roberto Siqueira de Lima, Dennis, showed, in great style, that he also remains in full form to compete. The coach responsible for the Dennis Jiu-jitsu Club team is in the United States (USA) and fought the IBJJF (International Jiu-jitsu Federation) Master Jiu-Jitsu World Championship and finished the competition in third place.
Dennis fought in the black belt division, Master 2, medium weight with 21 registered athletes, requiring a total of five fights to be champion. “I got too worn out in the fight for the quarterfinals and ended up losing in the semi, taking third place. Being among the top three in the world in my division is undoubtedly a privilege ”, commented the professor and also a competitor.
In a year marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, in which competitions were restricted worldwide, the bronze medal gains an even more special weight. “A turbulent year like the one we are going through for sure was a great achievement,” added Dennis. There in the USA, Lima was helped by also professor Steve Snyder. “With his help I did all my preparation for the World Master, he is responsible for the jiu-jitsu team at High Point in North Carolina”, thanked the black belt.
